@harphme i use ds18b20 sensors in moulded plastic on my pool and spa with heatshrink over the cable and sensor to protect the cable where it exits the sensor from pool chemical damage. i feed this into an adafruit huzzah feather esp8266 module running espeasy which talks to openhab via mqtt. it’s powered by a usb phone charger., anyone know of a temperature sensor that i can hook up an external temperature sensor like this to measure pool water temp? i know the intermatic pool controller has temp sensor just don’t know that i want to shell out the money for all that yet..
